Prestigious venue for international sporting events uses best of breed payroll
solution Payrite®, for payroll and year end e-filing
Ascot Racecourse Ltd has chosen Rutherford Webb’s payroll solution Payrite®® to administer its two payrolls. Using Payrite® the company administers the payrolls for its 70 full-time staff, as well for up to 500 additional temporary staff employed at the height of the racing season. The company selected Payrite® for its ease of use and ability to carry out year-end e-filing, soon to be a statutory requirement from the Inland Revenue.
Ascot Racecourse has implemented the new payroll system to coincide with its current £185m redevelopment programme. Payrite® was short listed from three Inland Revenue accredited companies, that were invited to tender by Ascot Racecourse. After two interviews, a presentation of the product and reference site visits, Rutherford Webb’s solution was selected.
Since implementing Payrite®, the payroll team has found its payroll processing simpler and faster, and is particularly impressed with the e-filing process and the ‘copy payroll function’ enabling them to run safe tests with live payroll data.
“Having experienced seven years of systems that failed to meet our needs, implementing Payrite® was an exciting venture and learning curve. From employee entry through to payment it is seamless,” commented Lesley Farrall, Payroll Manager at Ascot Racecourse Ltd.
“Naturally we had reservations regarding our first year end electronic filing submission, but this too was a major success. The E-Filing module has saved immense time and effort and is slick and easy to use.”
Stephen Teal, Managing Director of Rutherford Webb added, “Payroll is an essential part of any successful organisation’s operations. Not only are speed and accuracy vital, it is important to make it easy and straightforward both to administer the payroll, and draw out data for management reporting. Payroll data can play an important part in decision-making for companies that rely upon large numbers of casual and temporary staff at busy times.”
